Original Medicare pays for much, but not all of the cost for covered health care services and supplies.  Medicare Supplement Insurane plicies sold by private companies, can help pay some of the remaining health care costs for covered services and supplies, like copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. You will still need to buy a Medicare Part D plan for drug coverage, separately. 

Original Medicare doesn’t cover prescription drugs.  If you’re taking prescription drugs, or if you want the security of having a plan that provides Rx coverage there are two ways to get coverage: 1.
